Revision workshop #2 feat. giselle siano

In a recent revision workshop, Giselle welcomed participants to a session featuring three key topics: Carer Wellness and Self-Care with Dr. Dhanya Nambiar, Empowering Leadership Habits for Carers with Maxine Driscoll, and Fall Prevention with podiatrist Tom Quinton. Each expert shared valuable insights to support caregivers on their journey.

Dr. Dhanya Nambiar, founder of Prana Ayurveda, emphasized the importance of personalized nutrition and self-care, particularly as we age. She highlighted the benefits of whole, seasonal foods and self-care practices such as meditation and breathwork to support overall health and well-being.

Maxine Driscoll, leadership expert and founder of Think Strategic, spoke about the power of self-leadership, continuous learning, and empowering teams. She encouraged carers to balance personal and professional growth, using frameworks like the "Big Nine Goals" to foster well-being and prevent burnout.

Podiatrist Tom Quinton addressed fall prevention, sharing insights on risk factors such as aging and muscle loss. He recommended strength training, regular podiatry checkups, and proper footwear to maintain mobility and independence. Tom also discussed the fear of falling and encouraged participation in confidence-building programs to support both physical and mental health.
